Dustin remind you of anything?

Where???!!!!

That would be sweet!! I'm looking forward to some snow!!!

My random thoughts:

Im back. After a few month of being in the shop, like a stock D30 that was taken apart and re-built too so was I. Instead of new axles and ball joints, I got 2 new hips and sockets installed. 5 weeks learning to walk again, and I still don't have it down. I can climb in my jeep twice a day, once to work and one to go home. Still cant make it up the stairs with out help but like waterfall on a wet day, one day i'll make it up!!!!

That's my thoughts.

Wow that's crazy Double hip replacement. Funny just a few days back I was thinking where's Kenny? Now I know.

Best wishes and hope to see you on the trail soon.

Looking into buying a WJ for my wife what is good stay away from what is good to go (I.e.) 4.7 are they a good motor it will be her New DD and she has found a few with low miles under 100,000 on them. Do they have decent trans? I know they are quadtrack but that's alright.

Thanx for any input.

Thinking bout making a real low profile roof rack. Thinking about either the jcr gutter mounts or just using the factory roof rack holes. Anybody have any input for one vs the other?

im going to get flamed and its ok. Id use the factory holes. Maby even drill some more. The gutter is a mofo to repair if it don't hold. plus you'll have to get the rack out tward the edge in order to have gutter mounts. Some will tell you that the gutter mounts will be stronger. maby. But good luck fixing them once they get all wadded up.

Just my .02
Bronze.

I was kinda leaning towards the factory holes too. More attachment points and I don't have to go as wide.
Arent there nutserts that the factory roof rack rails screw into?
I'd consider reinforcing the underside in these locations... but they WOULD be a good mounting point...
I'd just be worried about shear forces if they ever came into play distorting the sheet metal of the roof, or pulling out said nutserts altogether.

(just throwing my $.02 in with John's)

I'd go with the jcr style mounts. Help keep it lower profile and may save your gutters!

Lol I peeled off my driver side gutter this weekend....

Wow Kenny! Glad you're doing better! That's intense!

My advice.. Go 5.9 ZJ or WK with a Hemi

The WJ was a problem child.. The 4.0 in them is known for headgasket failure and Piston skirt issues..

The 4.7 is powerful but problematic

The WJ is a decent looking rig, But they are plagued with engineering flaws(more so than other jeeps)

My $0.02
