I recovered a rolled 96 xj tonight from the middle of the road, looked like it was really clean till the 16 year old went off the road and over corrected and barrol rolled it about 3 times. kind of sad to see the oilblood all over the road,and what a mess all but 2 windows where blowen up about 50 yards worth of glass,plastic,and fiber glass all over the road. the kid got lucky only some scratches on one hand,and it didnt roll down the 30-40 ft embankment.

Im a tow truck driver,it was on a 2 lane road 55mph speed limit.no I just got to roll it over and clean up the oil mess and tow it. the kis had is kind of messed up is what his dad told me. skinned up and one of his fingers got the nail ripped off and split the end from the xj rolling on it.I see lots of wrecks, and I have seen bodys and body parts,decomposed dead people, theres very little that bothers me.
 
If all the bolts on my Jeep are metric then why are the lug studs 1/2" x 20....

I have respect for people that respect themselves and others. Half of the people on the NWC obviously have no respect for anyone. Its basically a playground for immature bachelors that cant hang on to their wives. This shit is worse than a 8th grade middle school class. Grow up already.

Sure am glad i have never been to a NWC run, nor will i ever. Not that its a loss to anyone on here that im not there but there is a whole lot more that feel the same.

You guys should start your own jeep club and disrespect it.

I feel sorry for nw99xj, always having to babysit the kids, I know you came into this chapter trying to change things, but I dont think anything will change with those yahoos in it.

Wow, some pretty strong feeling but lets set the record right. First "Half of the people on the NWC obviously have no respect for anyone" That's wrong, is should read " 3 or 4 guys in the NWC. Second, since you have never been on a run with the other 94% of the guys in the NWC you should try it, then make a judgment call. The few guys that I think you are referring too don't go on that many runs anyway. The ones that do go on the runs, have a great time with 0 bullshit. To some you not going on a run could be a loss because both you & the rest of the club are missing out on good times. Unfortunately your basing your "Random Thoughts" on the crud you read. So my advice to you is go on a run, meet the people in person. Chances are the disrespectful ones your talking about wont even be there.

Ok i will agree with you there and reiterate. I have thought, multiple times on going on a run. I read the trip reports everytime they are posted and some of them I wish i had been there for. But are these guys that always slander themselves and others on most of those runs, yes. I will not associate my family with people who think telling a community of jeepers that a fellow jeeper has died, is funny. People take that seriously.

My only experience with you guys is what i have read, you are 100% correct. That is all I have to go by and I have made my decision based on that. The sharades could or could not be the same in person, I am not willing to subject myself or my family to that just to find out.

It is just like anything else, before you buy something big, say a new jeep part that you will have to rely on, on the trail. You research it and find out what others have to say. If all the reviews and discussion on that part are negative, why the hell would you buy it.

I said it before when nw99xj was running for pres, I had hoped to see things change so that I could go on runs because most of them look fun, challenging and overall a good time. I voted for him based on that, and had hoped for it. But it's not gooing to happen.
