Wonder how lite someone could make a 2wd XJ?

Strip it, gut it, carbon fiber and aluminum for everything that you can.
Remove all glass, Hell, chop the top clean off.... i bet you could get it down under 1600lbs....
It'd prob be ugly as hell.....but i bet it could be done.
You thinking of making a XJ Drag Racer?

motor and trans alone weigh over 500lb
front and rear axle (2wd still has a beam) plus suspension is another 500lbs
plus wheels and tires 250lbs..

I'll bet 2000lbs is a VERY stripped down XJ..

I have been working on getting the bead lock wheels for over a month now. I am kind of disappointed in the company that donated the raffle prize, I have talked to them on the phone but that was 8-2-2012. I mailed in the cert. the day after I talked to them just like they said I needed to do, to the address that they gave me to send it to and have emailed the contact person 2 times now with no response. I guess I will take that as a lesson learned and spend my money else where, unless any one can help me out with the said company. I am not trying to bash the company in any way thats why I didnt name them.

Was my offer not enough or do you not want to ship? They are $31 new on quadratec, I didnt think I was low balling you.

Nah man.. I just dont have the time or energy to go box up an item and then drive 7 miles to a post office and deal with the crabby old lady who's worked there 8 years too long.. all for what? $18 after shipping?

I'm a busy guy. I live around ALOT of members.. I didnt expect someone from ****ing florida to be busting my balls over something that cost $5 more just to buy new from quadratec. At $18, you can drive up here and pick it up directly from me, I'll be in my garage between 11-2 working on my junk.

Have a great day.

I hate clowns :confused1

:eyes: im having fun today!

I had a piece of jeep stuck in my eyeball once. Tried to pull it out, that didnt work. Just made it worse.
Tried flushing it out with copious amounts of eye wash, that didnt work either.
Tried leaving it to work its way out on its own.... just ended up rusting in my eyeball.
Eventually had to go get it cut out, good times.
Nothing like watching the opthamologist make a small incision in the white of your eye then feeling the pressure release as he grabs the tiny shard of metal that was lodged in there.
I could feel it pull on my eyeball meat as he extracted it.
Still gives me the heebie jeebies to this day.
I feel your pain man.
