NW Wheelin' with AT's

Speaking up for the AT's - I was raised in Michigan, the snow/rust belt. Upon purchase of my first new pickup, a 1990 F-150 Super Cab 4x4 302 /A4OD, the best thing I ever did was swap out the General Grabber AP's (Which were just great in the snow) for a set of 33" BFG AT/TA's with a big'ole slash in a sidewall. $180 for 4, and I put about 60,000 miles on 'em.

The biggest difference was in the snow... OMG did the combination of Width and tread pattern provide me awesome grip on the snow, in the rain, slush, etc... I LOVED them.

That's why, when picking out shoes for the current Jeep, I went with the AT's - quiet enough for Daily Driving, AWESOME in the snow and rain, and, good enough for wheeling as well. it's my intention to get to Moab one of these days, and my friends down there all run XJ's, and they all run 31" to 33" BFG AT's on their rigs and love them.

Yeah you'll have no problems running AT's in moab. The sandstone is super grippy. I air down my 30's to around 20 PSI, which is pretty good for that tire size. Really no traction issues whatsoever. AT's do great on rock.
