Anyone know anything about this business?

Stewart Morotsoprts & Off Road Engineering
1768 E Lincolnway
Laporte, IN 46350

Its in the town I'm relocating to and it right up my alley. I want to call them to see if they would hire me (on a long shot) but I dont feel right calling them without any prior knowledge of what they do. I've traveled the internet and cant find anything about them.

I'll take a spin by there when I get back in the area - I think I know where it is, but was a different name then. Most stuff I see around gets hacked together in farm shops.

That'd be really helpful. I'd hate to call them or stop by and not no a thing about them. The "Engineering" in the title makes me think its a legit shop that does good work.

Well my only experience, IMO the place sucks. I had a lift ready to be installed, and he said he would go ahead and do it - this was two weeks out. I called him a few times in regards to a few items - no returned calls. The day he was suppose to meet me at his shop he called and cancelled - thank god I had a feeling about him and had a different place schedulled. I guess its at your own risk dealing with him. I dealt with a shop in Peru - good prices, but depends on what you need - he doesn't due much customizing, but I believe there is a shop around Warsaw that does. Hope the info helps.

how long ago was this?

So they're an off road shop that does lift kits, gear installs,......

Any idea where they get the "offroad engineering" in their name?

From what I know the guy that started Stewart's use to work for Meyer's in LaPorte - his prices were about 350 bucks cheaper to do a lift at Stewart's, but the fact he is impossible makes dealing with him interesting. He may have changed, but I'll never deal with him again, even if it is closer then Peru. The one in Peru I used was called Hendrix Auto Repair, and he is now upgrading two a 4 bay shop and wanting to expand his lift kit installs more. He charged 600 bucks to install my lift on the ram. For that same lift Meyer's wanted 900 bucks to do just the install - which I thought was ridiculous.
