No more pos ABS!!!

Finally! My ABS pump went out again (4th time since '91). But this time I fixed it more permanently. I ripped it all out and put in a dual diaphram can from a 95 XJ. It was a pita getting everthing out and then cutting/reflanging all the lines, but I should have done this years ago. I still need to bleed it a little more since the pedal is just a bit mushy. But the overall performance is vastly improved. :yelclap: (anyone need some slightly used abs parts?) It even stops now!!!! Now for the d44 with disc brakes.......

That old ABS system in the 89, 90, and 91's were really crappy. They were recalled and have a lifetime replacement warranty on the ABS pump and actuator assy. The kicker is that Chrysler no longer makes parts for those system so the lifetime warranty isn't worth the paper it is written on. There are still a few dealers with the parts, but not many at all.

The last time it got fixed was there at the WC Jeep and it lasted the longest before going out again (about 3 years), other than when it was new which lasted about 5 or 6 years. Now that I know that the parts are no longer available it makes me feel even better about getting rid of it. It just took me awhile to convince myself to do it since it's still my daily driver.
