Heya Sierra Chapter. I'm new to NAXJA and for the most part, owning a Jeep in general (having only purchased mine about a week ago). Thought I'd introduce myself, see all the other great XJ owners here in the Bay Area. My new ride is bone stock for the most part, with the fun difference of being right hand drive.

I'm looking to dig into a few upgrades, lift it, drag it out to Hollister and get it dirty, but that'll be a new experience for me too, since the last times I went to Hollister it was all for 2 wheel riding. Lookin forward to a lot of fun ^.^.

My heep still needs a little work to be completely road worthy (such is the problems with buying used sometimes, nobody replaces tires, I swear!). So I might have to miss this weekend (That and my work schedule sucks!). But I'll happily try to work in the time for the next run :D

Also, another view, just for the heck of it ^.^

Nice ride i have one also, San Jose is were i grew up.

Welcome to the Sierra Chapter.. Interesting Rig. What does the front end look like as far as pitman arm location and steering and such?

More pictures! Inside and out:

Maybe that can help answer questions...and possibly get a few ideas for what I can and can't upgrade easily? ^.^

Also, pics link to flickr page for the picture where you can see a bigger version :)

That thing is sweet, and clean too! It is interesting the hvac controls look like the lhd ones, but flipped. I guess they just printed them different. And having the transfer case shifter by the passenger is weird too. If I were riding there the temptation to put it in neutral to mess with the driver would be enormous! These pictures are a trip, must be fun as hell to drive.

Craigslist :laugh3:
Hehe, just lucky, saw it listed and snatched it up. Driving it has taken a little getting used to, but I've been taking it to work over my motorcycle for the time being just so I can get used to it. Hopefully once I've got most of the kinks worked out I'll take it out wheeling and everyone can check it out ^.^. I'm open to suggestions on what are the best options for a first timer though :)

A right turn indicator light cover for starters :gee:

That is so wierd!! i imagine most, if not all, of the steering parts are the same, just mounted opposite. Thanks for the pics.. Oh, the toys for Tots thing is this weekend. i think the Bay area peeps are going to Holister. Check you're Fluids and brakes and go for it..:peace:
