Got this 97 Dakota V8 4x4 with bad motor. Has some body damage also. Anyway I picked up a used motor and started collecting parts to fix it. I was looking at the used motor I bought to replace the old one, and pistons look good except couple of the pistons have little chips off the corners. No pits just couple chips. Should I worry about this?

Frame damage?

With the hit on the front end and the way that the bed is separating from the cab, I would check to see if the frame is bent up in the middle.

You could fix that by having several of us lard butts come over and jump up and down in the front of the truck bed. :D

You have not seen the other side.:roflmao: The truck was T boned frame is straight. Bed is hosed. I might build a flatbed for it run that.

At least this side looks purdy. Ya know, if you left that bed on, you could wheel it with impunity.

I brought home another project also. The ol' battle wagon is getting reallllll tired. I heard about a little truck for little cash, I had to see it.

For the price I wasn't expecting to drive it home, but WOW!

That will make a nice beater and save on gas. I gave 500 bucks for my new beater. I figured I can pull the XJ on the flatbed with new truck.

Mike............ that 'ol battle wagon was tired a LONG time ago..... :D

Glad to see you got something a bit more realistic for a guy that works as hard as you do.
