New member in Ohio

Hey everyone....I just joined a few days ago, been reading all the forums and everything. Real good information on XJ's and everything. I had a 94' Wrangler, but sold that and just purchased a 96' Cherokee a few weeks ago. I bought the Cherokee with a 5.5"lift, 32x11.50's, quick disconnects, custom rear bumper with tire carrier, skid plates, rocker quards. I am going to put on a custom front bumper, Bushwacker fender flares,and 8 off-road lights within the next month before I head back to school. I live in Columbus, Oh, and go to school in Wheeling, West Virginia...I was wondering if there was anyone on here from either of those areas, and if so, where do you guys ride, and are there any clubs to join around the areas? Dude, you're in luck! I live in Steubenville, OH, 30 minutes North of Wheeling. I have an '85 XJ and an '01. My '85 is a woods beater with 33s, I don't wheel my 2001 too hard. We have tons of trails here in Steubenville, and Wellsville is only another 15 minutes North. Wellsville is one of the best places to wheel in all of Ohio. I assume your Jeep is your daily driver, and you don't thrash it. I know some really fun trails here that won't kill your Jeep. I know another guy from Wheeling named Travis who has a '98 white XJ Classic, he goes wheeling with us sometimes. Make sure you have solid tow points, and some decent tires and you won't have a problem with 32s. Keep in touch man!

I was in Ashtabula last Sunday, not wheeling, for the ATV Dirt Track National at Pine Lake.

If any of you guys know of any trails in Cleveland or Wellsville, let me know....I am trying to find some closer around me, but would still like to know what is around those areas.

There is not much my way as far as trails go. Every one here that i have talked to goes on the power lines, but i don't know about the legal crap about that so i go on my friends property and have fun. I saw the ATV signs thats the day i went wheeling! Not Far from the signs

Welcome aboard. Glad to see another Ohioan on here. I'm in your area, Columbus. Check out www.Ohio4x4.com if your interested in joining a local group.
