New jeep!

Picked this guy up yesterday it's my first jeep! I've always had full size obs tahoes and yukons but I need an actual off road truck for my summer job (building a cabin!) and this jeep fit that category!

It needs some things (brakes are more of a suggestion at this point) but seems to be pretty solid overall

Agreed in going to wait until I can find a 8.8

Open to suggestions on what gear ratio to put in there I do a fair amount of highway to get where I'm going

Also have a spartan front locker on order

4.88s at a minimum. For someone who has always daily driven his rigs, 4.88s and 33's was the sweet spot for highway cruising in a 4.0/AW4 XJ. I would go to 5.13s to daily drive on 35's myself (might catch some flak for that), but 4.88s would put you in the "stock" range.

Do they do 5.14 for the XJ 30 now? Thought 488 was tops unless jk 30??

I think one company made them for a time, the pinion gear was ridiculous. I wouldn't run 35's on a D30 though without it being built out and would just rather start in on a JK30 or a HP44 at that point, but I always overbuild anyways.
