Hi everyone new to this site and hoping to hook up with some of the people on here to go riding the trails. Never been on a trail before but have done alot of driving through woods and would really like to see what my XJ can do!

youve got me in mount pleasant, though i do a little bit of goofing off from mount pleasant to mesick... but some here will tell you im too occupied with school/woman/being jobless to do anything. oh well...

keep in mind its deer season now too. people wont want to see you just romping through the woods.

Hey from Midland, I drive through Owosso in my McTruck at least once a week.

Welcome.

Watch for Winterfest info, we will be having a newbie run/class this year with some world class instructors.

I have the opposite thought, I have just as much right to be out there as a hunter. Sucks to be them they dont have private land to hunt. And any hunter worth his salt won't be that close to a two track anywho.

Okay, right now, you'd be having that discussion with someone who's carrying a bow. In 3 weeks, you're gonna be talking with someone who's carrying a fairly high powered rifle. I don't care if you're packin', you're looking at the losing end.

As far as not getting close to a two track, hah. Way too many roadhunters out there.

I hunt also, everyday. There's no fight to be had its PUBLIC land. And were I go I'm on legal forest roads. And if I knew or saw someone road hunting id be calling the authorities.

It's a courtesy thing, and like jeff said you could easily get shot, intentionally or accidentally.

edit: besides, deer use 2 tracks too, why not hunt off them? They're not 'public highways'.

Yea I see your point. And tend to only be out in the afternoon between times anywho. And most forest roads are nothing that involves getting on the jeep and being loud. And I don't go out during rifle for the exact reason of getting accidently shot.

lol ok thanks alot guys i went to ferris so going up to big rapids isnt a big deal at all or mt pleasamt. My dad owns the woods so no worries about un happy hunters lol

I have never been to midland but i dont think thats very far from me at all either. is there any trails out there to go out on?
ya... M-20. :roflmao:

traveling down 127 you can see blinds right off of the highway. people hunt closer to the woods than you think K-man. but you guys already hit everything else i was thinking about hunting. sorry to inspire the hijack.
