alright guys i have a 89 xj with a 95 motor in it and i have been having a spudering (back fire-poping) problem at 3,00rpm going 45mph at little thottle. iam wondering if i replace the ignition system it will fix the problem an also have a better running motor in all. if anybody has any suggestion on what system i should look into PLEASE reply. :helpme::flamemad::worship:
And also sometimes on a blue moon when i start my jeep it wants to sit at 3000rpm... i turn it off, wait. start it up again and sits at 3000rpms. i can turn it off and on 4 times before it finally stops this. any ideas of what it could be? PLEASE reply:helpme::helpme:

Check your TPS, IAC and for vacuum leaks

more info needed. Are you using the 89 electronics on the 95 motor? how much did you swap over? are you using the 89 flexplate with a 95 CPS or vice-versa? that will make the ignition fire at the wrong time, they have completely different sensor rings on them.
