Hey guys I'm new here, I just bought this 99 xj with 200k has the typical driver door wiring issues. Has 2013 wrangler wheels. I'm not sure what route I'm gonna go with a build yet any ideas?

Thanks! I want to to some Baja type events trails camping ect. It's my first jeep so I'm pretty excited about the different options I have.

I want to put my spare somewhere else because I take my wife and kids with me I'm thinking either a roof or a rest mount but coming from building vintage choppers I want to fab it all myself. I considered building something that connects to my receiver hitch or building it into a roof rack.

Roof mount is cool till you're trying to actually use the spare. Go rear mount if you can

I agree. Plus it keeps my clearance lower.

Either receiver hitch mount that swings down, or a tire carrier bumper.
