Hey Folks, New guy here from Sheridan Wyoming. Right on the Montana Border about 140 miles from Billings. Feel free to boot me or point me in the right direction if i am in the wrong section. A little about myself, I graduated from UW in 2012 with a Rangeland management/Reclamlation degree. I am a engineer on a coal mine. My first Jeep was a 87 MJ with the 2.5 and 4 speed. i drove that little thing from western Oregon to Laramie numerous times and learned how to wrench on it. The 2.5 was my first engine build by myself. Fell in love with that truck but had to sell it for something that was a little better to travel and haul my Horses. I just recently just recently got back into the Jeep realm with a 1999 cherokee sport. 4.0, auto, and a failing heater core(quite chilly in our -15 mornings recently) I bought her to keep mileage off my diesel. Shes got a 2" lift, 31" Bfg's and a header. I recently put a dynoma cat back system on and a Airaid Intake. Not looking forward to haing to tear the dash out to change the heater core in the near future.

The Wrangler on the left is my buddies. Bone stock other than tires. My girl is on the right

I know there is a Sheridan guy out there. Haven't seen a post for awhile. Welcome aboard. My wife won't let me move to WY. :)

My brother is up in MSU for school. Always up for camping hiking shooting or any other shenanigans. His wk is stock though so limited ability.

Welcome.

If the newer model is anything like my Renix, you can pull the dash in about 15 minutes. It is a lot easier than standing on your head under the dash trying to pull a heater core.

There are a couple of screws under a cover on the defrosters, then a bolt on each side by the door, a screw behind the ashtray, then a few bolts holding the steering column. All in all, not bad.

Welcome! So jealous of where you live, Sheridan is where I plan to retire to. My son is currently living in Laramie, so there are a few Wyomin's in this chapter.

Fred, you may have to do what I plan to do: to please the wife, winters may be in Arizona, summers in Wyoming.

Welcome. My mom is in Buffalo, and I'll be cruising through both Sheridan and MSU country this weekend after picking her up, on the way to Seattle for Turkey Day. I'll honk to say hi on the way by. Beautiful country up there.

These models with the AC unit are a PIA. takes about 4 hours by the time you yank everything out.

Mine has AC and wasn't hard at all, but it is an older model.

I visited Sheridan some time ago. I was looking into buying a business, and moving. I didn't like how humid it was and that the temps don't drop when the sun goes down, like it does here. I did like driving south a few miles down a main street and ending up at a "Four Wheel Drives only" sign. :) The natives drive a little fast for me on 4-wd roads, but we found a spot to use the 4-lo on the wife's wj.

Matt, wife wants to move to SC near her sister. My demand is that either I have a cabin on my property in Pinedale, or find some other way that I spend the summer in the Mts with my XJ. :)
