hey everybody, My name is Phil and I just bought my first jeep ever... its a 1990 Laredo she has the 4.0 and is 4x4.... I paid $400 dollars for her because the lady didn't think the alternator was locked up, and it kept shredding belts.... and i fixed it in her driveway and drove it home with no problem.

I have no knowledge about jeeps, and i have never had to work on one... i look forward to becoming a knowledge sponge and soaking it all in

that actually does not look too bad... prolly one of the first things ill do after i get the "sunday driver tires" off.. any ideas on what size tires would be ok to start with

i'm here in murfreesboro...
you can fit 30's stock, or 31's stock with no flares, or 32's with some cutting and a budget lift. i ran 32's on mine with 2" spacers and shackles for several years. a sawzall a day keeps the sheetmetal at bay. for the money you have in that jeep, it would make a great trail toy, but i would swap over to the 92 and newer radiator, to keep from overheating. other than that, you have a great starter!

most of the guys in this area live out towards you... atleast thats my experience.

there's greg in hermitage, glenn in antioch, me in nashville, but you, High2by, pacific ed, bosco, the cheif, mid tenn jeepers, i'm sure there's a couple i am forgetting.

but they live all over the smyrna/muffboro area.

yeah, i know, but it's less trouble maintain the open system because you don't have to rely on the integrity of that plastic bottle.

from personal experience, wingnut's racks are very well priced, and very well made, strong enough for me, at 300lbs to jump up and down in while attached to the jeep. best deal i know of!
