I am having a hell of a time installing a new Crown Automotive chain in my NP242 transfer case. Just to get the second half of the case back on was a pain in the butt, because the chain is so tight it is deflecting the output shaft, which prevents the shift rail from sliding into the last part of the housing, does any one know a way to put pressure on the output shaft and to put it in the right position, or is the chain just plain too tight?
