I am the proud new papa of a brand spankin new Big Tex 10ET, I dont believe that Ill need the GVWR 9,990 that its rated for but it might come in handy. FYI, I got it for less than half of what it retails for, (retail=$3698.00), dont wanna rub it into your face too much. No more sheared lug nuts, crawling over slippery fenders to get off/on, funky wiring, rotted decks, and with two giant brakes it should stop on a dime. What do yall think. My other trailer will be up for sale soon, once I fix the hub.

Where did you pick the new up for that price?

What is the details of your old trailer? It's not the "No more sheared lug nuts, crawling over slippery fenders to get off/on, funky wiring, rotted decks" one is it?

The guy that we bought the xj from works for Big Tex trailers in Texas and got us the hook up. We origionally said that we would give him $1600.00 for the 70ch which is rated to 7000 lbs and retails for about $2300.00. The XJ is exactly 7 feet wide rubber to rubber and when he was loading it the fenders got crunched so he gave us the 10ET that was on the yard which runs for $3698 http://www.trucknamerica.com/10et.htm. Its still the same tight fit but we just soap up the tires and go, till we figure out how to space out the fenders. We just put a new wood deck on the old trailer and welded on the front rails.

This is the old one, you see how you have to climb over the fenders. Its actually a great trailer but we didnt want to haul an empty trailer to TX when we can get a killer deal on a new one. Well will put the old one up for sale once the hub is fixed, the deck is painted, and were adding expanded metal to the front railing so we can toss firewood in.

Video of getting off of the broken trailer on the way to TDS friday. In the rain, on the 91, cold, wet, and pissed off. The actual hard part was getting the front tires over the wet metal fenders (with no traction) at that angle. The rear tires spun and eventually fell off the side of the trailer (both axles locked w/ ARBs).
