Don't get me wrong, I'm not opposed to using them. I just don't like to see them modded to the point of carving up permanent bodywork. Front fenders are bolt-ons, so that's not an issue. The rear wheel arches are already larger than XJ rears, so you can run fairly large tires without having to hack the rear quarter panels.
In fact, I have the chopped front fenders that were on my MJ when I bought it (until I got nabbed for tires beyond bodywork). If you want 'em, keep the originals pristine and you can bolt these on. Instant trim job.
