yesterday i was driving down the road and to my glory and pleasure i lost a wheel..... my jeep started shaking and when i hit the brakes the wheel sheared completely off the hub. i would strongly suggest not running spacers.:gee::gee: will post pics soon

luckly the damage isnt to bad. i need a hub and rotor abd the side pannel is a little tweaked but it could be worse. sadly my wheel hit another car... a small corolla of all cars  but at least it missed the wind shield

This is why I only run SpiderTrax spacers, always use threat lock and the proper torque.

Whew dude I'll bet that was real fun...Glad your okay

I have spidertrax with no problems - one year and counting! always check your lugs - i bet you had some loose and or missing...

sure glad to hear it was not worse. this just happened to my neighbors son last week, he was lucky also.

there's a huge scrape in the road almost 30 feet long....
and his tire must of bounced incredibly high to get where it was.
at least like 50 feet up into the air!
ha ha

personally I think the reason they failed is because they gave him aluminum nuts to attach the spacer to the hub, aluminum is such a soft metal I think the bolts just stripped out a little and then youj can figure out the rest....

i agree Jim thats what was sayin too, its not the studs failing.

well im certainly not looking to keep them. they are barely a month old though id feel bad selling them after what happened to me :skull1: ha ha...
but i could use the money at this point so if you want them shoot me an offer. id rather not ship though.

ya i must say seeing that wheel in the air was pretty incredible. i still cant believe how high that thing flew..
everyhting looks fine under my jeep i just hope i didn't miss something :P

I'll take them! It sounds like what was explained above to me! If you decide to ship let me know!

well it looks like i'm gonna sell them ha ha. shipping isn't quite my favorite, so i think if i haven't sold them in a week ill ship them. so i think i'd like to get 80 for all four. i think that pretty reasonable. if that sounds like to much let me know and we can work something out. im also down for trades of other jeep parts, especially lights. if you want to call me my number is 831-600-5176 and we can figure out a time/place to meet.

anyway thanks guys for all the support!! it really helps relieve the stress! hopefully this weekend me and jimbo_1321 will get my jeeps shoes back on!!

This reminds me of when I lost my wheel on 880, it rolled allong side me for a bit, and bounced into my door! i sure was glad i had my doors on that day. It took me a long time to find it, I swear it was a mile down the freeway, and yet hit no cars? Its a funny story now, but at the time i amost shit my pants. When I got it stopped (funny how having less tires decreases braking) i had so much adrenelin that i was running up and down the freeway looking in the bushes for my tire. how is your rotor? I ended up throwing it back together and driving home, and didnt have to relapce anything. Lets see those pics!

All my lug nuts just "disappeared", maybe I forgot to tighten them the week before when I switched rims/tires. I took two lug nuts off each rear wheel and one off the passenger side front. Then I made damn sure they were tight! I am pretty careful with them now, every time I take the wheels off it I check to make sure they are tight like 6 times

This reminds me of when my power steering pump went out in my new truck and I sold it!
