Neede: 97+ XJ

I am in need of a new cherokee really bad. My current one, sitting in the driveway, is needing much more than it is worth. I have had it with it and need to get a new XJ I am looking for a 97+ XJ with close to, or under 100K miles. Needs to be $8000 or less. I would love to get a lifted one, just so I could do some winter wheeling, but am also interested in stock. Also needs to have the Chrys 8.25 Rear end. I have looked through truck trader, and there are some. Just wanted to give anyone on the board a chance to sell theirs...

It has a bent front axle, broken engine mount, broken tranny mount, need to replace the clutch, it wont run, dont know why, winshield wipers are dead, headlights die in the middle of driving, not a fuse, and im sure there is more. I also would like something with a little lower miles on it, mine reads 137,000 but had the speedo gear out for awhile. I have been putting money into constantly for the past year...

It doesn't have the 8.25 rear, but it's got a D44 (!). And it's here on . Mileage is higher than you wants, but 116K ain't bad for a taken-care-of 4.0. Especially for the price and all the other doodads.

Yeah, I have looked at that one, in the most southern part of TX. If mileage was under 100k i would not mind the distance, but that is a long ways. Thanks though

Yeah, I wasn't sure how far one would travel for a deal. Haven't seen many for sale locally, other than dealerships. There is one in-town that I drive by almost every day, for sale at a Checker Auto(I think). I looked at it a week or so ago. I think it's a '98 with 90K or so. I'll look into it a little better tomorrow for ya.

To bad you didn't post up sooner. There was a '98 I think on there a while back. 68k on it with about a 5 inch lift, was only asking 5k.

Oh, I looked at that one. Asked the guy to send pictures. Must have called and emailed about 4 times a day for three days because i would have bought it on the spot, next time i got a hold of him, he said it was sold
