What vacuum hoses can i plug and remove/or move? I have a sputtering happening to the engine, I go across town to walmart then back, on the way back it starts sputtering from time to time, one minute is working fine and gets me home after raring up the engine, and another day it does it all the way home. It doesn't make any sense to me. Any help would be great. I have a feeling it may be the crackshaft pos sensor, and my cat clogged up/ muffler also falling off. but what else could it be?

Thanks
Silber

run a non-lit propane torch along vac lines with vehicle running at idle. When rpms rise, you've found a vaccum leak. Repair vaccum leak.

If your cat is plugged, replace with new (or a chunk of exhaust pipe if that's your thing), and get a good muffler (dynomax or flowmaster 40 series work well, thrush 'turbo' mufflers if you're on a shoestring budget).

Is your jeep up to date on tune ups and stuff? Fuel filter?

Ya it is up to date. Is there a way to replace the vacuun hose with something better?

Thanks

you can get plastic hard lines, and then you cut it to length and get little rubber tips for it. Usually near the help section of the Auto parts store, or near the coolant and cap section.
