need some help installing some things

I was wondering if anyone has some extra time to help me get my xj better I need help installing a sye and the rear main seal needs replaced I know I can do most of it I just want some experienced eyes to watch over

What SYE are you planning on doing? I will lend a hand if available.. Its a crap shoot with 4 kids!! There are plenty of writeups here so do some searching and it will give you an idea of what you need. Whatever you dont have, someone here most likely will. arty:

Definitely DON'T buy the PORC kit! I can't believe they're still in business! You should be able to find another one for < $20 more, and they'll probably tell you that it's better quality (not Chinese metal)... I dunno if that's true, but the $20 is worth it just to avoid the headache!

Rubicon Express used to have an HD SYE, so check the sponsors that carry RE. It's been a while since I bought mine, but that's what I did. I told them I was considering the PORC kit and they nearly matched the price.

I would say if you have the cash just do the full SYE.

I guess how easy a hack and tap is depends on how straight you can cut and drill.
