I am trying to decide if I should keep the d44 waggy axles and my rear d44 axle build them up or should I buy a hpd44 front and ford 9" full width.
waggy and Xj d44
- waggy has a 6 on 5.5 bolt pattern
- xj d44 has 5 on 4.5.
- So I would have to run two different types of wheels till I get new axle shafts for the rear.
- disc brakes all round
- both front and rear needs gears (currently have only one set)
- needs ball joints, seals, hubs, and whatever else comes up
- flat top knuckles
- spare front axle shafts
full width axles
- 5 on 5.5 all around
- drum brakes rear
- supposivly rebuilt recently.
- warn hubs
- flat top knuckles
- setup gears on front(comes with them)
- no spare shafts
not sure which way is the best to go. Maybe some of you have some input that could help me go one way or another. The full width would be nice for extra stability and possibly being stronger? But I would possibly have to have driveshaft work front and rear with full width where I wouldn't need it in the rear if I stick with the XJ d44.
