84"x48"x24(?)" $15 each! They have HUNDREDS of these in a big warehouse. They have work benches and other warehouse related stuff.

I grabbed 4 racks and a bench, may be going back for another bench.

E. Dry Creek and S. Yosemite area.

Why yes I do need these! Thanks for the heads up.

Do they just come apart by hitting them with a hammer?

That style does, yes. Similar to the racks you'd see at Costco or Sam's.

I've had them and hate them. It's about the cheapest crap China can crank out with a high markup. Particle board does do well with wet or oily conditions.

I prefer plastic shelving for light things & something with plywood for heavy items.

They do make steel shelving with angled brackets so you can tap them out of the groove so to speak, that I prefer much, much more than what is pictured.

Meh, I've got similar shelving the in the shop, and it's held up great.

My Gladiator shelf has "knock in" style connections similar to that.

Good ****ing luck getting them apart without full intention too

If they've been used in a warehouse type situation, and aren't broken, 99% of us aren't going to be able to do much to them.

Yeah. The shelves hook into the uprights like a nail slot in the back of a picture frame (or keymod stuff on guns, if that helps.) The lady said they are just about all disassembled and separated into kits for easy pickup.

I have a few dozen of these kinds of shelves. They're plenty strong and can hold several hundred pounds. If you don't like whatever shelf material comes with them, you can cut your own piece of whatever to suit your needs. If you're trying to store really heavy stuff like engines, you might want to look into pallet racking. Same concept with heavy-gauge steel. Keep searching Cragslist for "liquidation" and go ask about the warehouse fixtures.
