Feel the love.
Damn right, your meat was very tastey ... especially after your girlfriend had prepared it nice and tender. :D

You don't have to pull the hubs to change U's. I've done it more than once pulling out the whole thing with hub attached. If you dont have ujoint tools to change em plan on trashing an old socket or 2. Use a BFH to pound em out. With a little practice, you can do both sides in an hour. You have to pound em out in stages. 1 side half way out, remove the cap, go back the other way remove the cap. It'll then come out. Install in reverse. Big metal vice helps hold things. Protect the splines on the ends of the axles from dings. When reinstalling make sure you don't puch gook from inside the axle housing into the pumpkin. It can get pretty nasty. Clean em out if possible and be very careful when reinserting into the inner seal.

PM me if you have some specific questions. I've prolly done this 10 times on 3 XJ's already.

That would be interesting...:gag:

Hmmm...

More satisfying to pummel and mushroom the 3 bolts on the hub with a BFH...

Bitch deserves a good beating every now and then...

Then again...

bada-bing!!!

Slide hammer or a puller is an option in the case as the hub/bearing is already trashed.

Use one on a good hub, and you've just ruined it.

If you have an air chiesel use it. Remove the three bolts, use the chiesel blade between the hub & spindle. It will destroy the dust shield, but works great. JIM.

I will bring a slide hammer.
Sat AM, I will leave mi casa around 8:00AM
I also have an ancent chinese secret to get those pesky stuck bearings off!

Chicago Jeff, Where the heck have you been hiding?
Long time no see.

buy 3 longer, same size bolts. scew in from the back, and hammer away. that's what I did when I put my locker in, back in August. easy as pie, took 5 mins on each side to break them loose!
