broke a motor mount at drivline hill . need welder . rig is ready for welds just need a kind soul to come along..

did you rip the mount itself, the mount off of the frame, or the mount off the engine?

I cant get up there, but maybe you can get 2 batteries and some farmers rod , some steel, and a mask and get R done? weld a chain to the block to the frame to help prevent some of the twist as well.

its on buddys YJ with a checv. Sb broke at if we had rod we vould do the batteries . every things lined up and ready to lay a bead.

theres a lot of torque on that thing(as you found out) you'll need more than a bead to make it so it doesn't break another 100 ft down the trail. I would the hell out of, and bring metal plate to gusset everything. and figure out some sort of strap kit around the motor to help reduce some of torque when he revs the thing. like a ratchet strap , or actually weld a piece of chain from the frame to the motor , something like that . my fear is it breaking another 100ft down the trail if you don't over do it. the reason i say that is from phils breakage on the con a few months ago just kept breaking....

We got it welded . We are rolling in the morning going to wheel to committee . Thanks for the offer . while my buddy was broke got bored and ran drive line 6 times took 5 different lines . GWJ ate it up!! Only one line could I not concur . Judging by how the tricked out yotas
Wrangers and buggies did I would say the XJ rocked the hill. Got video from my bros Go pro will Upload to YouTube soon.

how did this go?

Went awesome .Trail fix on the YJ held up and we wheeled and camped with no major problems . only carnage was a broke rear bump stop,my lower bump made from 3x3 box with open ends got bent to hell before the upper rubber bump lost a stud and turned. the pasenger side was boxed and held up great. Crushed my steer stabilizer shock and than sheered bracket mounting bolts from my diif cover. No worries it actully steers better on the trail without it . I didn't notice any adverse problems on the short drive to Blue Canyon. This trail is sick but not for the meek . My jeep crushed most of the stuff. owned drive line all except one line . Got over 2 hours of video that I am still sifting through. Need to do some editing before i can post some..

i spent the entire weekend working on jeeps and not wheeling them. this sounded awesome. im super jelly
