Need another XJ :-(

Is this one getting the drivetrain from the xj? I like it.

Nope, the engine/tranny/t-case is still strong so they will stay.

Its getting the 29 spline 8.25, open cooling system, dual diaphragm brake booster, front lift, tires and some of the interior from the XJ.

I'm staying with the CAD D-30 to help with fuel mileage but it will get rebuilt eventually.

Holy crap - where did you find that for $250? Lucky dog!

I bought it from FitchVa(famous for the FitchBox). He has to move from Roanoke soon and had to unload some stuff. He gave me a great deal but if you know Fitch, you know how good af a guy he is!

Its rust free and only has a couple of workable body issues. It runs awesome, better than a couple of the other XJ's in the fleet.

I wish it was mine but this one belongs to my 17 year old, he paid for it. I hope he takes care of it and can drive it for years.

Knowing Jon, he can't sit still. He'll be playing musical chairs with axles and stuff.

Nice MJ. I saw it when Fitch picked it up.

I wish I knew he was letting it go for that.

Still think I'd truggy it though.

Just the rear axle, im keeping the CAD D-30 to help with fuel mileage a little.

If it were not in such good shape that may have been an option but so far its looking good.

If I weren't going out of town this weekend I would already have the engine out of it installing new seals and freeze plugs

So I'm at NMB and my mom calls me from Roanoke and says she just got rear ended in our 94 XJ and its totaled.

Thats 2 red XJ's dead in 2 weeks out of the same driveway....DAMN:cry:

This one was as nice as the other one just not as modded and it was running perfect!

I have to find her one now that won't break the bank, she is on a fixed income.

Wow!!!

No more red XJ's for you! Hope your mom's alright. Good luck on yet another search for an XJ.

Man, Jon that bites. At least everyone is okay.

She is okay, just a little whiplash. She is a tough old bird at 70.

The Honda that hit her was also totaled.

She got 2700 for her XJ and a 400 buy back. It may be able to be fixed, there is zero body damage and only the rear bumper/trailer hitch were damaged. I haven't seen it yet but she says the rear crossmember is pushed up about 1-1/2"

I might be able to cut out of the other red XJ what I need to fix the rear crossmber and I could get the frame pulled back down as well. It will be Saturday before I get a look at it.

I'm up to my ears on wrecked XJ's right now.

That's a tough pill right there. Glad she's ok though!!

The first replacement MJ looks good so I'm sure the next replacement will be just as nice.

Maybe you can fix this one and keep it on the road.

I might, or I could truggy it or part it out. Just depends. It still runs and drives so there is hope.

Wow man are you cursed lately?

The bars on the roof of the red Jeep that I asked you about... How long are they and where did you find them? They should work perfect for my Kayaks. They could probably stand to be a smidge longer but they'd work.

Are you talking about the factory bars or the Yakima's? If the Yakima then all you need are a set of 4 1A gutter mounts and 2 54" bars. Thats what I'm running on all of the XJ's and my XK
