When I got my 88 XJ I was missing the ash try. I went to the dealer to get a new one after my buddy did not find one in the junk yard. I told my buddy if he could get it for less than $20 get one.
I went to the dealer, they had a new one on the shelf, and gave me the can of paint since it was black and you had to paint to match. I walked out paying less than $15 for everything.
So try the dealer, that part may be cheaper than you think and it will be "new" and not abused like you may find in a junk yard.
