NAXJA to send 5K for Tellico fight

Jump This

Just another minion!
By a unanimous vote, the BOD of NAXJA has authorized our Treasurer to send a check to SFWDA (Southern Four Wheel Drive Association) for the amount of $5000 dollars to help them in the fight to keep Tellico open to all four wheelers.

A special thanks to Brian at JCR Offroad for spending the time and effort to inform us of what is happening at Tellico. With the help of our membership and the dues paid by our membership, NAXJA can, and will, do what we can to help keep our trails open.

Please visit www.SFWDA.org for more information regarding Tellico.

Once again, thanks to all of you for helping to make this happen.

I have never been more proud then I am currently to say that we are a Supporting Vendor of Naxja.org. This is a GREAT donation from a GREAT organization! This thanks should be fore EVERY Member of Naxja.org! What a great group!

I spoke with SFWDA president Gary Parsons this morning and that money will be going Directly into the efforts of keeping Tellico Open! He was Extremely excited!

Thanks naxja for your responce to tellico, I am joining now!

Hey, people do not bad mouth TU. We are fighting USFS and State of Nc. TU brought concerns to USFS and wanted them to correct the problem, even offered to help us (clubs, organiz., and off-road'ers in general). I talked to TU and they never meant an attack on us, they were attacking USFS for incorrect management. USFS just is passing the blame to us. Tu is full of offroaders (I am assuming this by way of common sense) to get to the best fishing spots.

Who the Hell likes trout anyways? :dunno: They are slimy little bastards. I'd rather fish for some Crappie and Bluegill!

I love trout fishing, but I refuse to join T.U. for just those reasons. When asked to join just a week ago at a trout stream here in Ohio, I said no and said why.

A little late in seeing this but very good to hear! Makes me happy I'm a paying supporter of NAXJA!

This is great news... I have never wheeled Tellico, and most likely never will, but I am glad to see our organization working to keep areas like tellico open for our enjoyment. I know it means a LOT to those who frequent Tellico, and I hope that if this same scenario were to happen in my neck of the woods that Naxja would do the same.

ABSOLUTLY!
NAXJA has become a leader in land access issues and will always do what we can to either take the lead or support fully those that are leading the fights to keep land open for us.

PS. I'd rather fish for bass..

:D
