Well I went this morning to go look at an XJ.The ad said 5 speed and i was hooked. The lady who owned it said she had taken it to a shop and they said it was going to cost $600 cause the slave cyl. was bad.I have enough know how to fix it and she only wanted $1200.I checked it over and the clutch would go to the floor and spring back with no pressure????I had never seen this b4.She said the speedo hadn't worked for 2 years and her daughter was driving to school during this time and only live 20 min away. The odo. only had 127,000 miles!!!!Well I knew it was worth it at that point. As we were towing it home we were thing about the clutch going to the floor with no resistance. When we got home we checked the master cyl. and the plastic tab for the petal was broken. So a $0.02 zip tie and I now have a very low mileage 92 XJ 4 door with no rust.(She bought it in 94 and moved to TN 6 years ago from Nevada)I will post pis tomorow.

My friend spencer and I called about the same XJ. She had originaly posted the ad for $600 and we called and set up a time for the next day because it was already 8pm or so. When we called her the next day to tell her we were on our way she told us that because she had so many calls that she now wanted double $1200:soapbox:.......and if we still wanted it then we could have it but not for the original agreed $600 but $1200 SO FFFFFFFFFFF her. I'm glad someone from :NAXJA: got it tho.........

Hey guys. I was rushing around all day today and didnt have time to get any pic. I will get some tomorrow. And about the plastic look at the pic and on the end of the rod they have a plastic piece that hooks to the pedal. The eyelet was broken in half so we put it in place on the pedal and zip tied it together. I need to find a replacement but looks like i might have to buy a master cyl.

Scroll down look at first MC(enlarge pic)

Oh, yea I see now.

Nice XJ. It looks like a nice, clean platform to start with.

So you have to give us an idea of what your plans are for it.

Oh yeah, I like the silver.

RE 4.5 with long arm.Not much else crazy its my dd.

Thanks I wanted silver or white.Im really happy with it so far.

Looks really nice. The RE kit should serve you well.

and a long arm isn't crazy for a DD?
get a 4.5" RC short arm kit, save your money and get some 32" KM2's

Mark

you're on the right track with the long arm kit. it'll keep the ride nice and soft, and flex great off road. the long arm will be a ton better on and off road, and worth every penny. as for tires, if you trim, you can run 33's with no problem. that's what i'd do, anyway. just make sure you regear. your whole drivetrain will thank you.:D
