My XJ grew up, (a little bit)

This is what I started out with, it was green then too, with 225/75 cheapo AT's. Then this weekend I made some progess:

The goodies: Up-country coils, spacers, WJ lower control arms, new up-country leafs, tomken shackles, some badly needed shocks.

The leaf springs had some separation anxiety and really didn't want to leave the vehicle, a few hours with a wrench and a sawzall made them come loose.

Old leaves out,

New leaf in place, almost.

Rear sway bar did not get put back in, driving home I couldn't tell it was gone.

Front getting done,

More front stuff,

The finished result, clears the 30's perfectly

And the herd of XJ's was all in and accounted for at Kim's place.

WANT DIAMOND PLATE! That looks sick man! As does the Jeep!

Its really light (as light as diamond plate can be) its 3/16? aluminum, so its pretty thin and I also put down some insulation (read: dynomat type stuff) under it, the carpet is gone. (oh yeah, and it didn't cost me a cent)

The lift looks nice. What did you end up with? I figured 2.5" ( 2X.57" spacers + 1" Upcountry Spring front; 1.5" shackle + 1" Upcountry leaf ).

Flexd: Got a link?

I figure its about 2", it was only a 1" extended shackle, and 3/4" spacer, with the upcountry springs. I'll see if i can find a decent picture of it on the 30's prior to lifting.

Video's of how little tire clearance I did have.

Damn that was a long day installing that lift. Never had so many bolt problems with the leaf springs. Looks good Brian.

You'd just have to search it I don't have a link but someone posted a thread about it last month I think.

Yep. That one is going to the scrap yard soon. Going to an 88 waggy with all the goodies that were on the 96. The 96 decided it was time to give up the ghost.
