I've never posted the stickers that I am planning on using on the tank. Here they are.

I don't want to go too crazy with the paint so I'm leaning towards gloss black dents, some kind of gray on the rest of the tank and then maybe a white pinstripe between the two?

Gold pin stripes will it it together nicely.

Body work on the tank is done, it's primed and curing.

I've been talking quite a bit with the guy that did the body work about paint and it's become painfully obvious to me that trying to paint this on my own is going to be a recipe for disaster. So...he's going to paint it for me. After a lot of discussion today, we are going in a different direction.

The main color of the tank and side covers will be something along the lines of this grey.

There is also going to be some KTM orange on the bike and I will not be using the decals I posted above. Gonna try something else there too. Pretty excited.

Here's one of his bikes that he painted.

KTM orange is always a good idea, but if you're going to post a pic of one don't use some ugly hack job.

And here is theV7 Racer I was talking about, its a Moto-Guzzi not an Aprilia. Not sure how I mixed that up.

Well I used the Roland Sands bike only because it had a similar shade of grey. And something about that Superdyke makes it look like a transformer.

That new SuperDuke is a major boner inducer for me, transformer or not. :D

Here you go, a better looking KTM "café" racer and its still grey

Ooooh...now THAT is a nicely done RS bike. Why does it look like there isn't much travel up front?

I just found something interesting on my bike. No idea how I saw it but I found a little trap door under the bottom triple tree. I used my key and it appeared to fit but I couldn't figure out what it did. It's a fork lock. Those crazy Japanese. What's even more strange is that this thing was a hodge podge of sorts but one key works the ignition, seat lock, and this fork lock.

No idea, must've put some sort of street bike front in it.

I figured that but still don't see why there would be that little travel. Guys swap GSXR forks/trees onto these CB's all the time but they do it for improved suspension not to make things worse.

Oh I know the USD fork is much nicer. Here's a CB550 with a GSXR front end swap. Just seems like there isn't much travel on the KTM.

That's a good looking CB.

I'm getting more and more tempted to get myself a project bike, I've been wanting a second bike anyway and looking at a bunch of builds on the net has me very close to dropping the hammer. I'm thinking of going with a Sporty for my base platform and then mixing a bit of scrambler and café racer into it.

I absolutely hate electrical issues.
