My new.....car.

man it's just new car week around here. 'grats, hope you didn't get bent over, seems like anything with 4 cyls is listed at least 1.5 times if not more than it's worth

I actually got a good deal, paid trade in value according to edmunds and kbb. They did get the $495 dealer handling. :)

If you see me hitch hiking through Castle Rock, we'll know I didn't get that great a deal.

So a 99 is 6th generation? I've been checking out websites, but I wasn't sure what year was what generation.

I'm trying to drive long enough to save some gas money before I start "improving" it. I already have 3 jeeps I'm "improving." :)

I had an 01 just like that and loved it. 4 banger? Mine was.

I sold it after driving it for 2years and 40k more for $1000 less than i bought it for. :D Sweet ride.

4-banger, same color as yours, JohnJohn, but steel wheels. I remember riding in yours.

I do like it. Judging from the shape of the power steering and alternator belts, it appears as though the timing belt was changed at 105k like it was supposed to be. I think I got a good deal because the mileage is too high for them to finance it.

Watch the check engine light. Many of the automatic trannys mounted to 4 bangers are on permanent recall by Honda. It's my understanding its just this generation.

I had 74k on mine and the check engine light came on. I took it to the Honda dealer. Just to get them to tell me what was wrong so I could take it somewhere cheaper if a fix was in order. Service guy came out and told me he had bad news, but would follow it up with good news. The gears in the tranny were toast, but Honda was replacing my tranny with a brand new unit. All work under warranty, even gave me a rental for a week. :D

Yes they warrantied my tranny with 74k on my ride. The cars warranty was up 3 years and 40k something miles prior.

A few weeks later I bought my wife a Honda. :) Now I have neither car though. :dunno:
