My 98 after lift this last week

Here are some pics of my Xj. Just put on a lift, turned out to be 6 in of 3 like i intended. Its an s-10 bastard leaf pack. and re 4.5" front coils, i still need to put in a 1.5in spacer up front to even out the lift, but oh well. I am in the process of making a rear bumper/tire carier. The main part of the bumper is mounted and im working on tail lights, lower quarter guards(maybe uppers too), and the tire carier. The tails and quarter armor will be one peice with the bumper. Than the tire carier will be a swing down style with mesh and supports on the backside so i can use it as sort of a step to get to the roof. I also cut and folded the rear quarters and painted them to the flairline instead of the body line. I did this cause the paint was peeling on the passenger side that far, than was scratched on the drivers side from a dear taking the flare off. I am triming the fronts up to the flare line also.

Let me know what you think...

4.5 RE coils and you're still running stock control arms? Not a good idea. Adding another 1.5" spacer to even it out? Worse idea. Your caster / pinion angles are gonna be way off now. And I can only imagine how off center your front axle must be now considering there's no mention of an adjustable track bar having been installed.

I know you are proud of your XJ and the work you've done, but for safety's sake, please drive careful. Using only some springs just to get lift is never a good combination.

Have you driven it much since doing the lift? I'm curious if you've got bump steer or wobble. You don't often hear people running stock control arms over 3.5" of lift.

Just worried......:shiver:

no bump stear. im picking up a set of re control arms soon. and an ajustable track bar. I drive carefully and i do have a little bit of wobble around 50-55 so i stay only in town. Im not doing the spacer til i have the rest of the parts, ie control arms and track bar.
