The only issue with Turkey Run is how much Sugar Creek is flowing. Even with the rain we have gotten in the past few days, it is only 1.3' at Crawfordsville. I have paddling that creek in high and low water and at the current depth, you will be walking more then paddling in canoes. I was in my kayak which takes less water to float and still had to get out a bunch. Turkey Run has great hiking trails though if the water isn't high enough. The depth is measured at a dam and there will be parts of the creek deep enough to swim in and parts shallow enough you could walk in it with tennis shoes at that depth and not get your feet wet in the paddling areas with the rental places paddle from.
I personally don't paddle that creek below 1.4' because of the varying depths of the creek channel.
