MPG Trouble

I think your onto something with the maps sensor. I too noticed my gas milage dropping off. Acceleration was not as smooth so when I did the MAP sensor I did the TPS too. Picked up a few miles to the gallon and got the throttle smooth as glass.

Love the XJ jeep motor but every few years it seems some engine sensor will need replacing. Compared to my old motors that are all mechanical I find this irritating. But when it running good its sweet and I don't have to turn a screwdriver :smoker:

Good luck figuring this out and getting what you can for millage. Sound like your doing pretty good already and just need to check out the computer sensor angle and flesh this part out to finish your tune.

CharlesS what injector swap did you do? I plan on spending some money on my jeep with the tax return around a $1,000. One thing I will for sure do is the triple threat fan conversion, I had that set up on my 89 and loved it. The 89 with 33's and 3.55 gears auto got better performance/mileage then my 97 did when it was stock. While the 97 know has the performance advantage its still lacking in the mileage.
