Moving west...

Well, gang, Jen (my wife) has gotten a better job within Boeing, but it requires us to relocate to St. Louis, MO. After visiting the area, we've determined that you can get much more house & land than you can in NJ, plus the pace of life there is much less stressful. So, we are moving sometime in October.

Leaving my job, however, has freed up my schedule to attend Moab, so hopefully I'll see some of you there. As long as my Jeep is ready in time, I'll also be at the Paragon trip over the 12th-14th.

I've had a great time wrenching, wheeling and camping with all of you... I hope the chapter continues to grow as it has. I hope to make NACFest each year as a sort of annual reunion, so I won't be completely out of reach (and there's always the forums, after all!)

I'm also willing to finish out my term as Treasurer until the normal elections in January, unless you think it would be better to elect someone more local. I'd like to take my experience with the NAC to help organize a MidWest Chapter, so thanks for this wonderful experience.

Leah and I wish you and Jen lots of luck in your new endeavor. Maybe the job market for an ME is a bit better out there as well.

Thats going to be quite a caravan of Jeeps heading west!!! Are you going to rent a car trailer? Is Boeing going to pick up the cost of the move?

Jeez, we just got a treasurer that gives a d@mn about the NAC, and off he goes to Missouri.

Boeing is covering the cost of the move, but I think there may be fewer vehicles going out together. Jen will probably be driving hers out to an apartment while I am in Moab, and I am probably selling my MJ when my XJ is road-worthy soon. I'm going to store the Eliminator project, my boat & Jeep trailer here in NJ until we actually find a house, so that will be the big vehicle move when I have a place to store everything.

Andy, how's your house and other plans coming along? I'd like to see the place before I head out sometime in late October...

This ain't an Eagle property, I only keep running XJ's on premises .

BTW, are you joining us for the ride to Utah from Jersey, or are we gonna have to make a detour to St. Louey to pick you up?

I'll come back and get the hulk when we move into a house... I'm not taking my extra drivetrain with me for nothing! I will be joining you for the trip out to Moab, and most of the trip back (I'll stop in STL if Jen has already arrived there.) I do remember that, quite an adventure. Must have been in late 2000 or early 2001 since it was winter time. Man, what a great group of people... at least the forums are not affected by geographical seperation.
