so me and my fiance are splitting up. just sold the heep yesterday. selling off all i cant fit in my fusion and heading back to Texas the first week of january. as u can see by the screen name, Im Dick. ill be moving to Arlington for a while till i get up and running with a new job. looking forward to meeting some of the locals from the site there and eventually my name will be added on the loaction thread. i had an 89 aw4/231/4.0 here and ill be looking for a 91-95 preferably once i get to where i can buy another one here. looking forward to rust free stuff again haha. when i get another place of my own ill be around the mid cities area. lived there for a few years before i moved to pittsburgh and loved being 30 minutes from everything haha. its gonna be weird going from owning a house to being back renting. not really looking forward to that. but overall it will be for the best.

so just wanted to introduce myself to yall and say see ya in 6 weeks! party1:

Good luck with your move and welcome to the RRC. You'll find that most XJs around here are pretty rust free so that should be an easy goal to check off.

So you had to sell the jeep that you did a build up thread on?

yep. sold the jeep i put a ton of time, sweat, blood, and swear words in to. bit the next one will be a bit easier. cause im gonna spend more money on the base i start with. things such as the lack of floors and surplus of mechanical issues should be at a minimum this time. sold the jeep for 775. pretty sad. but its helping finance my move back home. and now with some luck ill have a truck to drive down and trade my car with my cousin so ill have more room to take more tools and what not down. shuold be good stuff if that works out.

Welcome man, sorry about the breakup. Best of luck to you. Hope to see you at the fall get together, I'd say rides of March but I'm deployed until after that! lol

thanks. ill probably meet up and ride bitch with some people after i get there. get a feel for how to wheel in texas. im hoping theres more rocks and not as much mud. i hate mud. depending on how quickly i get working, i should be buying something quicker than i thought. im gonna have roughly twice the money i thought i was gonna have by time i move haha. so that makes life a little easier.

Yes, Rocks is pretty much all there is in Texas. Muddy in the east sometimes, the further west you go the harder and bigger the rocks get.

i just came back down for a weekend the other day damn, i miss home. flat lands. freeways that work. seeing texas license plates haha. should be great. oh and the best....beer in gas stations. i swear its the little things that you miss.

as great as it was, it was a bit weird feeling. cause im not home that often it was just a different feeling. though im sure ittl get back to normal after a while.

well got my first job interview lined up for when i get back. so if this is the case ill be on my way to a new rig soon enough. hell. at this rate. ill be able to buy an already buildt rig by my birthday(july 4th). this is already looking better haha.
