Side note on motor jobs: Assuming you dont do motor work: you should be able to have a shop R&R a motor for 1500 out the door (700 for motor, and 800 for labor). Never pay more than that.

If you want to build a stroker I have a 258 sitting in my garage that is in perfect shape only 100k and it actually sounds great. It came out of a laredo.
