Right now I'm sitting on the fence between the hovercraft, and the big-ass remote control car. I've got most of the parts to do either one, but I'm running into a little snag. The 10hp motor is attached to a generator head, and for the life of me I just cannot get this thing off. I disassembled the generator head so all that is left is the magnet in the center that is around the shaft connected to the crank. I cannot for the life of me figure out how this comes off since I see no bolts or anything. Does anybody have any experience taking generators apart? Is this going to need to be pressed off? Any thoughts? I'll try to snap a picture of this if that can help. Thanks.

Oh, and the other idea was a big-assed remote control car/battle bot :) That's sounding pretty good right about now.

Build yourself an off-road battle bot, use IFS/IRS and attach metal shields to the tires kinda like the fenders on the Plymouth Prowler. Setup the suspension like a baja buggy and have some fun with it. If you figure out reverse, let me know, I'd be very interested to hear how you do it, or theorize doing it. Peace

P.S. No idea how to get the magnet off, is there a keyway to keep it from spinnin on the shaft?

LOL!If the generator head is stuck, make an electric hovercraft!LOL!

A hovercraft with an umbilical LOL... there is a writeup on the net about turning an old HD into a hovecraft :) with an umbilical of course.... so guess what I'm gonna make out of a bad 7200RPM drive :) :)

Anyways... best of all three worlds: make a hovercraft with an umbilcal, which is remote controlled :)
