I have the complete back half of a long bed MJ cut away and ready to make into a trailer.
The bed is in decent shape with minor rust areas above the flares and toward the back/lower quarters near the bumper end caps. There's a couple of dents beside and above the pass. tail light. It has a nice straight tailgate that functions as it should and 2 good MJ tail lights. The rear bumper is bent up, but functional.
It's currently painted rattle-can camo.
It comes with the rear axle already flipped spring-over and with a pair of fairly thick overload leafs giving it a little more than 4" of lift. The rear axle is a D35 that has 4:88 gears in it (might try to find an old stock one to replace this axle). It'll have 3 aluminum 15x7 "turbine" XJ wheels and 235/15 tires.
All you'd need is about 12" of 3"x4"x1/8" steel tube to cut and insert into the uniframe rails to make the tongue, then weld up your choice of tongue/hitch coupler. Factory wiring harness is all there, cut at the front of the bed, just splice in a 4-pin and go.
$275 firm.
I can deliver it around the metro area, farther for fuel cost within reason.
I'd prefer to sell it as is - I need the garage space. But.......I can also build the trailer (just the tongue "A" frame with hitch coupler and wire the lights) for $450.
