Midwest rust!

Nothing wrong with that. My XJ has a high-speed custom license plate bracket for my windshield washer pump. Collin has seen it :D

I have also witnessed this i was standing beside Collin. He really enjoyed it! :D

I have heard of someone pulling up their carpet and finding a STOP sign!! Haha! And, I've found my carpet wet a couple times, and took a closer look at my floor. Yeah, it's kinda crappy. I spent some time yesterday looking for my rear hatch speaker wires that were in the LR quarter panel behind the spare tire. The bracket for the tire came right off the floor when I pulled the top bolts out. I could see pavement...Sometime this summer I'll pull everything out and find the worst of it and patch it up. I would imagine I'll use some light steel and mold it if I have to. Pop rivit and seal it in. Primer it up. Put some more insulation down and throw the carpet back over it. Undercoat it on the bottom. This is similar to what GoSlowGetStuck did with his. It turned out nice.

well...I got a little creative with some aluminum flashing. Hoping it holds up. Found 2 more holes in the floor as I was sanding. And had to patch them up too. Then I sprayed it with self etching primer, followed by 4 coats of Duplicolor bed liner. And it looks great (and i finished it just in time, cause its been pouring rain since last night.)

yeah thats nothing. lol.

Search for a product called POR-15. you can get it from eastwood or most autobody suppliers.
its a rust encapslator. (prolly spelled that wrong) it comes in quarts and pints. its brush on. take a wire brush to the worst part. brush it on then put your bedliner on over it.

X2 !! Good Stuff..

good job fixing it but that is pretty weak when talking about rust. I got more rust than that on my tools I keep in my truck. lol While you have it gutted like that you need to weld in a cage
