is this where i should post about us in the big MI?? if not just kick my butt later. if so where can i go do soem wheelen. i need to break in my new 88waggy with d44. thanks

Actually, the midwestern NAXJA guys have continually resisted forming an official ("Great Lakes"??) Chapter. Not exactly sure why, because it would get them their own sub-Forum and make it easier to communicate and get together. (That's really the only good reason for having regional chapters of NAXJA).

But, for now, your best place to get attention would be on the Non-Tech Board - with a "catchy" subject line, or, you could try the "Unofficial Trail Runs" Board.

No problem you being here though - we're an equal opportunity region  , and, even though they don;t like to admit it, some of those beyond PA lurk here from time to time also.

Good Luck (and if you get really bored up there, just head down to I80 and point East for a bit, we'd be more than happy to make room for a Michiganianite on one of our rides!) :D

Okay, I'll answer your question.

No, there is no real place in MI to wheel.

Except for Silver Lake, Got Sand??

or, Drummond Island, Got Small Rocks??

or, The Mounds, Got Mud?? (this place sucks, it's by Flint)

or, private owned, it's not legal to wheel anywhere else and the DNR will be on your ass and ticket you.

Check out www.michiganjeepers.com , they have some local private wheelin get togethers, nothin to citing, once you've been out of the state wheelin, MI sucks.

when is the next time you all are going out to the bad lands? might want to tag along. who was the one that said no great lakes thread? i would think we would get one with the diamlerchrsyler HQ in alburn hills. i mean that is the chrsyler xj birth place. man wish AMC would have bought chrysler back then.

going to Tellico TN in a few weeks with NAXJA, come with us then, Tellico beats the bad lands hands down. It's worth the trip.
