I noticed this thread got lost in cyberspace.

Once agian, I will be spending Monday eve, the 29th and all day the 30th in the big citys of Elkhart, Mishawaka (did Fozzy Bear name that place, or what?) and South Bend.

I plan on going to some football museum during the day on Tuesday, any one up for dinner Monday night?

Here is your chance to personaly cast stones at your president, if I had an expence account, I'd even buy!

Football Hall Of Fame is kool. Studebaker Museum is there also. Wish I could make it on Monday, sorry.

Isn't that where AM General used to make the H-1? Maybe you could go out and rescue Hummers on the test track!

They still make hummers there.
That is on my list of things to see, The collage football hall of fame, the Studebaker museum, and the Hummer factory.
That pretty much sums up South Elkawaka.

Yep they make Hummers in Osceola, IN. The Humvee and the H1 (not anymore) and H2's

There is a test on/off road track for Hummer about 5/10minutes way from my house. The bummer thing is it is off limits to the public. They have federal government signs (stay off or die) posted up around the property. Looks fun thou.

They also have (or had) a good kayak course called the east raceway. There was an old factory along there somewhere that had a restaurant called the spaghetti bender that was really good. Probably gone now.

Da Region was known for great hummers long before AM General, BTW! ;^)

Things I learned about Michiana....

1) Despite what the internet, Brad, the guy at the Marengo toll booth says, the Indiana Toll Road DOES NOT accept I-pass!
2) None of the ATM along the Indiana Toll Road work, so if a guy wanted to get cash, "just in case" he can't.
3) Flo, the waitress now works at a toll booth in South Bend, and she is not amused if you don't have the cash to pay a toll.
4) Some A-hole in a late model brown Chevy pick up Michigan plate, BRB 3499 has very little patience, and some day his horn will be in his anus!

Reminds me of when I drove back from CT in a XJ I bought on eBay. I remembered to bring change for tolls, but I had never been through a tollbooth before. I pulled up to a lane that didn't have a line, not realizing it was an EZPASS lane. I kept going, waiting for someone to stop me, but nobody did.

I'm glad we don't have toll roads in Southern IN.

Hell, I could have told you that! Neither does Ohio. iPass does work in PA, NY, MA and a bunch of other eastern states as well.

If you noticed, do not know which exit you got off of. They are upgradeing the toll booths, bigger barriers to protect IDOT works, so drivers can speed thur when they install the Ipass system. I should be here in a few months. Looking forward to it. I travel the Toll road just about every day.
