MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Happy Holidays NAXJA. Have a wonderful New Year

Christmas brought me a trip to Fresno on Friday in a rented minivan with my 3 "kids" (ages 18 to 21), picking up my ex-mother-in-law en route, to visit her brother & his family, returning home in the wee hours of the 24th.

Up at 8am the 24th to return the van, followed by Thrift-Shopping (although we popped no tags) with the kids, Mexican food for dinnner, and then seeing The Hobbit (they did a nice job!), and going home to watch Christmas Vacation on Netflix.

Woke about 10 on Christmas (I love getting to sleep in on Christmas now that the kids aren't kids!), cooked breakfast, wrapped, nagged the kids, cooked dish to share, nagged the kids, went by my ex's house to retrieve my dog, and finally we all left for my ex-father-in-law's house, to do dinner with more family. Home at 9:30, called my dad & stepmom (who have the decency to leave the state over the holidays, which keeps things from getting REALLY complicated! LOL), and collapsed into bed.

It was wonderful chaos, all around. My schedule might be much saner if my ex and his family (who I refer to as my Out-Laws) and I didn't all get along, but it makes the holidays even more special (although a little weird to some folks). I'm lucky to have the best Mother-Out-Law around (awesome enough that I voluntarily chose to drive her to Fresno to see her brother for the holidays).

I hope all my Christmases can be this chaotic! And I'm glad the world didn't end on the 21st. Ending existence while in Fresno might have been redundant...

I hope everyone had a great holiday, and here's to an amazing 2013!!
