Meeting location change

I'd be up for a Bay Area meet-n-greet every once in a while. How many Bay Area people would be into that and that is a good question, where?
We have Kernal, 5-90, Boatwrench, ShinyXJ, KarlM, Bryan C, myself, and who else from the greater Bay Area?

I am closer to the bay area than the sac area...

Gentlemen and Gentlewomen (as the case may be)
As a non member but possibly desiring to be a member from Mariposa (The gate way to Yosemite and the southern end of Hwy 49 and the Motherlode).

How about M&G's either on a rotating basis to cover the geographic area or separate monthlys for regions with quarterlys centralized for all (or something to that effect).

Just my thoughts, details to be worked on by bright people.

If there are enough members in an area, I think it's a great idea to have a local M&G. Remember, all chapter bussiness has to be done by the BOD or by a vote on this forum.
Bi-yearly or quarterly get togethers at (Hollister, Rubicon or Swamp ect...) give us a chance to meet the rest of the members.

No B-town is not safer. Too many enviro-wackos there that frown on anything that "trammples" their "mother earth". (I lived there) Maybe Concord- Walnut Creek (680 corridor) Easier for us "northern folks". Yeah I know I still havent even made a closer M&G, but I plan too :wierd:

I would prefer to have something relatively close to me, but I think that's what everybody wants, and the reason for this topic. I do think that Friday meeting would be more convenient, except sometimes people aren't going to be able to make it because they've already left town for the weekend. How many times have you left town Friday afternoon and camped so you could get an early start on the trail Saturday morning? That said, I don't think I'll be able to make Thursday meetings next quarter because my only Thursday class is at 6PM.
My "vote": I'd go about as far west as Fairfield, but probably not much farther east than we already meet. I'd also prefer Fridays if possible.

I don’t care about the place but how bout another night of the week, or rotating between two nights. I can make Thursdays most of the time.

BTT for this one. Looks to me like the Sacramento area meetings haven't been going over too well since we changed from Keifer.

San Jose here, not too far from Kernal

Maybe it's time to think about a meeting location change after 2+ years at the Roundtable on Keifer. Of course this is motivated by personal interests ;)

I am wondering if maybe Citrus Heights or Orangevale might have more people living near it? I don't know who lives on the 50 corridor that regularly comes to the meetings. Maybe post up with your location and thoughts.

I live in Rocklin (80 corridor)
Crash lives in Foresthill (80)
Lee lives in Woodland
Stoney, OV right?
Bryan same
Billy Citrus Heights
Opie, Roseville
Byron, Antelope if think
JP, Citrus Heights, pretty sure.
Phil, Davis

Not sure on Bronco or others that come to the meetings.

Thoughts?

I'm in Citrus Heights close to Billy. How about having the meeting on friday night, then we could stay longer and check each others stuff.

Yeah, I think we should pick another night and/or place if people don't like the current situation.
Billy

Starting next month, I could go any day except Monday, and I would be late if it was on a Wednesday. How are Tuesdays for you? Can you think of anything that's a little closer to Davis?

i want to try to make a meeting with u guys at some point and if it was on a friday it would work a lot better for me, because i would be coming up from the bay area.

I don't think it would work too well to have it on a fixed date and let the day fall whenever it fell. I think it would be harder to plan on a different day every month. Hell, I would even go for like a Saturday meet and greet out at Prarie City if there is somewhere to cook up some burgers or something. Just kinda have a Sierra Chapter screw around day out there.

I think that's a good plan. Prarie City would be way more fun w/ a big group.
Billy

Funny you should mention Prarie City. I am taking a leadership role in getting the 4x4 expansion done this year. Our committee will be looking for work volunteers for our first work weekend in June.

I will post more info soon, but keep in mind that we will have expanded play area at PC in 2004.

Sorry I misssed last night.
