It looks like I won't make it to Hollister. :( Gears aren't done and the wife has plans that just popped up. :whipped:

So, I'm going to setup a day run on Bald either March 20th or the 27th. My calender looks good for either one, unless I still don't have my D30 swap and geared by then.

I think it a great time to go to Bald. Early spring, There is run off from the snow and they make all kinds of beautiful streams. :sunshine: The trees look green and the air is fresh and clean! Also the trail dust is at a low.

I'll post up later with a couple pictures from last year and specific meeting details.

Aw come on Chuck, how long does it take to do gears? :D JK man, it's all good. I am planning on attending this run, either date sounds good to me.

Yup, if you need to get directions, search for Shaver Lake. Lots of granite, the main trail is pretty easy. There's lots to play around on!

Nice pics. That looks like fun. It's good to see you got your family involved with your 4 wheeling. I'll try to make it, I just got back from Hollister yesterday. What's the elevation around there? Is the trail pretty challenging or just mainly pretty scenery?

Just hought I would bring this thread back to life. How is the frt axle swap going Chuck? Is this run still on? I am trying to figure out my schedule for that weekend.

Things are starting to look good now. I Figured out what I was going to do with my flakey neighbor. Won the war at my base, well at least this last battle of wargames. I took yesterday and today off from work.

I have the disco front pulled apart, and cleaned up. Today, I'm going to clean up the LCA mounts, relocate the shock mounts and this afternoon get started on the pattern. Once the gears are done, slap the Non-disco shafts and install it onto the jeep and that will complete phase 1.

Phase 1, I'll be ready for Bald! :woohoo:

Phase 2, brake down my TJ axle, remove shafts, knuckles and all that. Drill out knuckles for highersteer. R&R the stuff off the regeared axle from underneath my jeep. Then work on new steering links. :D

I’m still trying to get my pile going again but if I can get her rollin by them I’m in. I’d say 50/50

Chuck, your thread for your local MnG tells me that you're busy for April weekends other than that one, but maybe an early May run? If it lines up right with the end of my midterms, I'd likely be up for a run that way.

Bald is a total day run for me guys. It's about 45-to an hour from my house. I have a couple Saturday's available in April, but Early May sounds really good, like the 2nd or 3rd weekend. I know we are planning on going to the Lost Coast again at the end of May, but we will definitely taking my wifes XJ.

If anyone just wants to make a weekend of the Sothern Sierra's, just PM me. Most likely I can make it.

Well, anyone still plan on joining me. I have two people coming up from Santa Cruz, Dan and Amy. Dan has a CJ and Amy has an XJ. I meet them a couple months back.

I have two options if I can't get my junk together. One I can ride with my Brother-in-law or maybe ride with one of you guys.

Let me know, so far the plan is to meet Saturday at 9am at the Prather Market. We'll probably leave at 9:45, please call if you plan on being late.

I'm out too. Having issues with my POS Mopar reman tranny. Getting a new one this week, and I will need to stay fairly close to home until I can be sure it is OK. I keep bailing out on your runs. Hopefully I can get down there and hang out soon.

Like I said to Mark, I totally understand. You guys have a pretty far drive. Like me, if I was headed you way I would really want to make it worth it. I'm just trying to stir the pot around Fresno. I don't think Fresno guys get on NAXJA much. I have seen a couple new lifted XJ's driving around. A blue one and a Red one on my daily drives to work.
