This is a fairly easy technique to learn. Probably one of the first tricks I learned when I started custom painting. Drawing it by hand is pretty easy, and will work just fine. Shadowing with an airbrush is the real trick that will make it look realistic. Check out airbrush.com for some pointers and examples...GOOD LUCK !!!
