Mad as hell

"Gray beards" ARE inherently more intelligent.

They have survived long enough to become "Gray beards".

This isn't Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom; this is the human race. We don't have to worry about being stalked by a pride while we're sleeping, or ambushed by a croc when we get a drink of water. It's fairly easy for human beings to grow old.

However, if that's not enough to convince you than consider that the very same people you hate today (socialists and bleeding-heart liberals, champions of global warming, wall street scammers, murders and rapists, people who work at starbucks, etc...) will, in fact, one day grow old, and some of them will get a hankering to dangle a sign reflecting their beliefs.

Oops I apologize and will refrain from the name calling. From here on I will stick with the politically correct BO…LOL

Thanks Joe you made my night also.

You're right, it is entirely too easy to survive in our society today - the Democrats have made it that way by creating so many "parent" government programs that people are now reliant on for survival...I say start with Social Security and cut them all out...

The people who can't think/plan/take care of their own life will slowly die off....

Accountability will be the #1 killer of stupid people....

"Entirely to easy to survive..."?

You mean in places like Detroit, NYC, Chicago, places like that?

The world is more than your immediate surroundings, and there are mean streets.

Um...when did we start talking about "mean streets"?

I was referring to (and somewhat agreeing with) urban yan's statement that it is fairly easy for humans to grow old in society today. Being old doesn't automatically qualify you as being intelligent - you have to look for the ones who are doing fine on their own and who aren't completely reliant on SS, Medicare/aid, etc....

I have no problem with SS being taken away as long as they give me my $450,000 I put in to it back.

Now this is FUNNY..What makes you think they still have it? :looney:

Well, there is the Lock Box--Al Gore said it so it must be true!

Nothing special about getting old - it just takes a long time.

It's experience that causes Wisdom to appear (and wisdom has nothing to do with intellect, either.) While it's true that "greybeards" often have more experience than the children that are screwing things up, that is going to change (because, as stated, we're making it altogether too easy - in general - to live to accumulate grey hair.) "You live and learn - or you don't live long" isn't very true anymore (damn...)

And yes, there are definitely some mean streets out there, and some very mean streets (Hunter's Point, the Acorn, and Caprini Green all come to mind. Harlem follows close behind...) But, not everyone gets to go through those. Pity - I honestly think that just going crosswise through even one of those districts once in your life would provide a number of very useful life lessons.

Especially for the ungrateful Yuppie larvae that are being spawned at such a rapid rate...

I think Cabrini Green has been razed and turned into nicer housing. I know a guy who grew up there back in the 60's and 70's and he was saying it's gone, you can't go see where he grew up anymore.
