First off please dont post here if you dont want to help.....Yes not everyone thinks a lowered jeep is a good idea but if you dont like it just hit the back button...Thanks!

Ok I am trying to figure out the best way to drop the rear of the MJ. I want to get maybe up to 3-4 inches. As long as I get 2 inches I will be happy though because then I can always use a small block. Could I just swap out a leaf for some drop? I see there are 4 leafs in the pack. Any idea what one I should take out and what should I swap it for? Should I take out one and put in an AAL or somthing?

Thanks
Chris

from what I've seen and read, there's not much, if anythng available to take ax XJ suspension in this direction.

mini truckers do it all the time, but I'd go with a custom 4link with air and bags up front too so you can drag it off the pavement. :-D

Put a factory shackle from an XJ on, thats worth about 3/4", (the MJ shackles are longer), keep the load spring but take out the next spring up, or put in a 2" steel block. That will get you close to 3" of drop in the rear.

Remember, MJ's are spring under as opposed to XJ's which are spring over in the rear.

For the front, get a cutoff wheel for your grinder and start taking sections of coil out until it is at your desired height. Keep in mind you cannot drop the front much more than 3" without modding the bumpstops or trackbar length.

I put an XJ shackle on it 2 days ago and I didnt get any "lowering" out of it at first I got about 3/4 inch lift and then today when i measured it it was at 1/8inch lift so maybe the lowering takes time or somthing.

For the frount coils, I will be using TJ coils with a little cut off to stiffen them up.
